What did the PTO do in 2025? All our efforts, family volunteers, and money raised ensured we could continue our support for:

  • Educational field trips across grade levels involving all East End students and across all grades and programs. Field trips supported by PTO include but are not limited to the Northern Stars Planetarium, a play at the Children's museum, partnership with Side x Side arts projects and transportation for our 5th graders end of year Peaks Island field trip and sailing.

  • In-school performances from Mayo Street Arts

  • Fun community events—Fall Fest cider making, KinderGarden and school native plantings and care, Spring Dance Party, and End of Year incredible projects with Side x Side Arts for two grade-wide programs, including reading, writing, puppet making, collage art, and a visit from Portland’s Poet Laureate

  • Food and clothing support for Di’s Closet

  • Advocacy for school budgeting and student and teacher needs

  • Classroom requests and snacks, and more!
