195 North Street | Portland, ME 04101

The East End Community School (EECS) is an elementary school serving approximately 400 pre-K-5th graders. With 22 languages spoken, more than 20 countries represented, and as home to the Governor Baxter School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, EECS proudly represents one the most diverse and inclusive populations in the State of Maine.

EECS is filled with top-notch teachers, enthusiastic administrators, community volunteers, and families all working together to provide our neighborhood students with an excellent education; making sure that each student is ready and able to be future leaders and to do their part to strengthen our community.

The mission of the East End Community School Parent Teacher Organization is twofold: To enhance the educational opportunities at the EECS and to encourage community and shared experiences with the families and neighborhoods that surround the school.
